Steve doesn’t appreciate words like “Soft” and “Quiet”, but instead prefers words like “Smash”, “Brutal”, and “Yes”. He watches Top Gear, eats cheese, and plays CIV2 when he isn’t playing, recording, writing, or producing music.

Florence knows that some people actually listen to the lyrics of songs, and refuses to let Steve and Masa write complete rubbish. In the studio, she is often heard saying sentences with words like “The melody” and “Cut it out Steve” in them. She has a shortcut to Tetris on her desktop.

Masa is confused musically and relies on Steve and Florence to filter through a long list of bad ideas. He likes things like “Horn Sections”, and “Modulations”. The reason “Crazed in the Breakdown” took so long to make is because Masa said he had to take breaks from sleeping on Steve’s couch.
